| 21 July 2008 At a breakfast reception at Farnborough International on Wednesday 16th July ‘08, GKN Aerospace recognised the achievements of its top 40 suppliers from its global supplier base, gave four awards for particular achievement and presented AMI Metals with the award for ‘Overall Supplier of the Year’.

| 15 July 2008 GKN Aerospace has now delivered Blended Winglets for the certification flight tests to Aviation Partners Boeing, in support of their launch customer American Airlines’ fleet of 767-300ER aircraft. This 767-300ER/F contract with Aviation Partners Boeing has involved the design and development of an 11 ft tall winglet and will include manufacture of some 450 ship sets, with forecast peak production of up to 16 ship sets per month.
